That's a bad theory then.Because when Sasuke did decide to attack and be rid of Orochimaru for good, he belittled the hell out of him. Best friends don't do that.

When was it ever stated that he loves power? He needs extra power in order to fight Itachi. That doesn't mean he enjoys how he's gotten it, but he does what he has to do.
Shitty power? He's potentially a greater Uchiha than Itachi, coupled with Orochimaru's abilities, on top of his own. I wouldn't call that shitty power.
Gaara isn't an Uchiha.
