It has nothing to do with the weather, it has to do with the fact that it is a "favorite" thread. People got tired of seeing "WATS UR FAVORITE XYZ" threads popping up, so the concept pretty much got banned.

Easiest way to get rid of so called annoying threads is to.. i don't know.. not reply to them.. Threads that arnt interesting, die rather fast IMO
Sometimes .. posting whats your favorite and why whether it is music, movies,games,girls,pics,consoles , public figures,moments in history..etc can be fun and allows you to get to know your fellow forumnite on a more personal level.. That's how friendships develop tooYou know...common interest..
Meaningless threads can be fun.. This concept is lost on so many forums IMO
Now im new to this forum, but not to forums ..been doing forums for like 12 years now..
some observations:
This forum moves very slow.. Some are.. some arnt... this is the former
some of ya lack an actual sense of humor and the the vibe i get is one of uptightness. Pretty sad as most the users here are in your late teens and 20's.. i.e. 20+ years younger than me.. my avatar pic is really of me..LOL
in saying that.. I like certain aspects of this forum and how its set up...

Anyways, favourite threads are a waste of time when they've been done dozens of times, you can tell what's someone's favourite something if you stick around and you spend some time browsing the forums. Reading how someone list their favourites just to see how the next poster bash him for having a different taste is anything but fun. And the same goes for the best/worst something and something versus something threads.

i love when its snow on the ground in wintertime and its foggy, like thick fog and snowing lightly and there are no cars on the road or anyone else on the sidewalk lol
