    I'm a little leery about paying that much for one, the one in this one literally burned out, so I need to figure out what caused that before I stick $30 worth of parts back in. If it wasn't the old PSU that caused the short, I'll just waste this old one.

    Probably just worn out. They usually "die in a fire" so to speak
