Default A mister fpga board related question

Hello. I have a mister fpga board that I would like to use to play some games.
I have been doing a lot of research, but cannot find out something. Are game roms (like, for rasperry pi, for example) compatible with the mister? Or is the mister a completely different format? It seems to me like it would be, but I can't find out the answer for sure, or where to find "mister" roms.

    Thanks

As far as I know there are bash scripts to build MiSTer ROMs. Are you familiar with the Linux console?

Thank you for your response... I am afraid not. I am just starting out with this...Would like to make an arcade cab with many games, and Mister is supposed to be the most accurate.

Well I suggest using a gaming distro and running the cab on Linux:

This is how to run a shell script(file with a .SH extension) to compile the ROMs:
