Probably better value going for a 2TB or higher. Unless you can find 500GB dirt cheap on sale somewhere...but from what I've seen it's usually 2TB atm.
I'm talking about ext powered HDDs, not USB powered.

Smallest ext I have is 1TB, I've had several of them for many years now. Largest atm is 3TB but I've been thinking about getting a 5TB as I've started using the 3TB via my tv for large 1080p video dumps.

Kinda want to find RE Outbreak though for the PS2. The main thing I hated was the load times but since I got that free PS2 with the HDD last fall I kinda want to try it out again.

There are unofficial servers for Outbreak now iirc. But I think you need the Japanese versions (they can be English patched afaik).

Unfortunately can't connect wired. My apartment is almost right above the building office and I know the password so just wifi.

Think there's unofficial servers for FFXI too! I got rid of that though but again can't connect anyway. Re Outbreak is one of the very few games that can be installed though so yeah wanna give it a ago. Can't imagine it would be very expensive - hard to find maybe though.
