snes on psp

im having no luck with these emulators. the neo geo em works great but nothing else.
main priority (since i quit trying to mame for now) is snes.
ive tried Snes9x_Euphoria R5 seems to work (with .smc only) until game start but fps is slow and the games are missing most layers on most screens.
ive tried uo_Snes9x_002y32 that just turns my psp off when i try and run it.
ive tried s9xTYLmecm - causes a combo of the above 2 problems

any ideas?

What games are you talking about

I can test on my end for you

Also did you look at the settings for either to make sure the layers are all enabled

SNES is not brilliant for the PSP but most games should work fine others do lag no matter what settings you use

Genesis aka Megadrive should get better results

Currently I don't emulate at all on my PSP

the only snes games i want to play are mario all stars, mario world, mario kart and super metroid.
i couldnt find any layer settings anywhere, where might they be?

Testing SnesPSP Tylcm 091127 173210 (1/26/13) being released this year

Played Mario All stars + Mario World (only tested Mario 3 it worked just fine on default setup)

Change that back at the CUP select screen (it may work fully at a good speed in accur. Soft with the Frameskip set to 2 and smoothing off)

Note: (If you are hit you can't see yourself for a second or two on real hardware and other more accurate emulators you flash)

If a game does not work on default settings then play with the Video settings.

GBA emulation has Mario Kart for GBA and a few of the Super Mario games that may play better

Forgot to mention I was using sfc files stored in zip format

PSP model is 200X, 2002 to be exact the number on the end just tells you the colour/color or if it's a special release mine is white

My firmware is an older one as it happens 5.50 Prome-4 it is future proof though so there isn't anything I have found yet not to work on it, ewer models of the PSP 300x or higher can't run this though due to there lowest firmware being higher all 100X and 200X models should be able to run what I use though (there might be an exception for a few later released special versions of the 200X series)

no joy! my psp freezes just after the nintendo logo when i try that.
maybe this 6.60 PRO-B10 cfw is crap for emulators?

What folder are you storing the emu in?

PSP/GAME

for me I can run everything from
PSP/GAME
but for you it may be different

Anyway I quickly tested Snes9X Euphoria R5 Beta 3 and it has the same options anyway

Hit L+R then when you are in the menu (should be on GAME by default) hit left and right to change what options are on screen

Used the same sfc files as I was before

On my psp2000 gpsp gba emulator works better than almost any snes emulator. for snes I play around with options until I get a good enough framerate.

one system i slept on was the gba. id assumed it to be only slighly better than gameboy colour.
ill give it a try and see if it quells my thirst for nintendo games.

GBA is a SNES but better, slightly lower res though just on the hight a lot of the games are actually SNES ports so Final Fantasy 4 5 & 6 are on GBA (I know the EU and US FF games only had 2 games and named 2 & 3 I think it was might of been 3 and 4 I forget but 4 to 6 are the jap numbering, other games like Super Mario and Zelda are on GBA aswell, Castlevania on the GBA is by far the best Nintendo version for the time (those are closer to the PSX Castlevania game SOTN) second only to the DS versions, the Metroid games on the GBA surpass the SNES Metroid aswell)

I still own a few GBAs and will play with it from time to time, link up mostly for games like Zelda 4 Swords or with GameCube games that can use the GBA, not just as a controller but some games use it as an extra screen for certain parts of games or as a map screen/options, kinda like what the WiiU does with it's controllers but a lot less advanced
