I linked this in another thread earlier. Something about Paypal wanting some folks home address, drivers license scan, and utility bill; while not wanting same information from others.

I believe I saw this here a few weeks ago. Worth reposting!

This whole thing has been blown way out of proportion, seriously.

"Your internet might be SHUT DOWN!"

    "INTERNET BEING SHUTDOWN!!!"

    "HACKERS EVERYWHERE"

^this is what I keep seeing on the subject (and yes I read the article itself). No one is having their internet "shut down", some people just don't practice good browsing habits and had their DNS settings borked. Doesn't make for a very exciting headline I guess.

"I think that the problem with this video is it is highly derivative of many popular bands within the genre. Although when viewed on its own merits, it does have a deeper groove. However what it has in groove, it lacks in originality. One can't help but be reminded of such bands as Pearl Jam, White Zombie, Suicidal Tendencies and other bands that bear the mantle of so called "Alternative Rock". One is even reminded of Lorie Anderson when she wore curlers. Hehehmhm! This video speaks less to the heart and more to the sphincter. In closing, I think Korn would do well to learn more from -"

    This.

You only have to worry if you've been infected with some sort of DNS changer (or something like that, I saw it on the news).

but, I guess this post/thread is useless for the people who have been infected.

eh i'd believe that, especially around here (don't count me out hehehe) cheaters lol

but seriously, safe browsing habits as maslowk said, would work best, imo i've only seen something i figured was hacking happen to one of my computers in the past and it could've just as well have been a very bad file downloaded (vast majority of important files and systems needed to run the computer were very heavily corrupted and/or rendered unusable entirely. but that could've been a virus just as easily that completely crippled/ruined that computer.
