This whole thing has been blown way out of proportion, seriously.

^this is what I keep seeing on the subject (and yes I read the article itself). No one is having their internet "shut down", some people just don't practice good browsing habits and had their DNS settings borked. Doesn't make for a very exciting headline I guess.

However what it has in groove, it lacks in originality. One can't help but be reminded of such bands as Pearl Jam, White Zombie, Suicidal Tendencies and other bands that bear the mantle of so called "Alternative Rock". but seriously, safe browsing habits as maslowk said, would work best, imo i've only seen something i figured was hacking happen to one of my computers in the past and it could've just as well have been a very bad file downloaded (vast majority of important files and systems needed to run the computer were very heavily corrupted and/or rendered unusable entirely. but that could've been a virus just as easily that completely crippled/ruined that computer.
