Talking How to play Wii games on an HDD

    From this video, you:

Format your whatever (HDD, MP3 Player, ect) to NTFS.

    Then download Wii Backup Manager

    Open Wii Backup Manager

Go to the tab that says Drive 1

You will see a drop down tab that says inactive

Click on that and then click on your drive.

It will ask to create a folder, do so.

After that is done, click on the Files tab

click on Add and then find your file(s)

Then click on the check box(s) next to it

    Then click on transfer

There should be a drop down menu.

Most files are ISO, so click on WBFS file.

It should then convert your file to WBFS & transfer it.

This may take a while. a 4G file took me almost 30 minutes to do.

Then plug in your HDD into the slot next to the power button on the wii.

Start up whatever program you use to play back-ups on & it should work.

    Some extra info for ya

Fat32 works because you can split WBFS files (look at the options in Wii Backup Manager )

Also there is a limit of 500 games per usb storage device, so larger drives that can store this amount and more are best off having a couple of partitions with games on and a partitions for roms ect for your Wii emu's to use

Personly at the moment I have a WBFS partition for me games and a Fat32 partition for roms and other files related to my loader of choice, though I will be splitting the HDD again to have 2xWBFS and 1xFat32

Its easier having a hdd formatted to wbfs it take minutes to transfer your game isos to the hdd, i have a 1tb Hdd with 300+ games so far. But whatever works best for the person.

QWBFS Manager doesn't work for me and I already tried with the Admin rights, while WBFS always works like a charm.

this is not an exploit is has nothing to do with installing an exploit enabling custom code to be run

try http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...d-any-wii.html and look at the LetterBomb exploit

easy enough to do but make sure you follow the full guide correctly

well thx a lot. I do hope the letterbomb thing works on 4.3e too, cause it doesn't say anything specific in the description.

EDIT: the letterbomb link doesn't seem to work. makes that method pretty much useless.

The proper letterbomb link is http://please.hackmii.com/

NOTE: Before you do this, you must ensure your Wii's date and time are correct.
Power on your Wii WITH the SD card inside.
Now choose the "Message Board", which is the envelope icon on the bottomr right-hand corner.
You should see a bomb icon If you don't, just press or till you see it.
    Now click the bomb icon
    Multi-Mod Manager will launch

I used that last week to hack my kid bro's/sisters Wii's both on 4.3E all links worked then and works now aswell... just looked

by defaut it is on 4.3E

The LetterBomb was on the previous date though... so I had to move the date from Saturday to Friday and there it was waiting for me

I will be updating my own Wii at some point I'm on something like 3.4E still... all the games work I just want the SD channels thing

I will be partially following the guide myself, I obviously have already exploited my Wii though so the first part will be skipped for myself

You just need to be a member to see the link work

I personly don't need a guide that installs channels I tend to keep it minimalistic and pick what I actually want rather than having a bunch of stuff I don't use

I will be using the guide I linked to get as far as installing the updates to IOS's (though mine are all to date and working, unless I missed one) and the main GUI update (as it happens the one I linked also gives you channels including a USB loader but not the one I prefure)

Yeah, I have 4.3, with the Kirby's Return to Dreamland disk update installed, and everything works. I had to use Brawl's method as well. I couldn't get inday pwns thing to work (probably spelled that wrong). I didn't know what to do with SSBB, so I ended up deleting the whole game save.

So yeah, just follow those steps in the video to get them to work. I also laid them out too incase the video makes no sense.
