Question Ever Felt Not Guilty For Downloading A Game?

Have there ever been A game be it on PC or a Console that you never felt guilty for downloading? for me when I download a game Especially PC ones I tend to feel guilty about it, I had made lots of work towards fixing that with steam and ebay to name 2.

But one game I Never felt guilty about Downloading was "I'm Not Alone" from "The Games Company".

When it popped up on steam It peaked my interest, but reading on the steam forum (one of the few places left with any info on the game) it had servere issues with ATi Graphics Cards... So I waited on it and added it to my wish list.

A Few months later I had a bit more disposable cash then normal and thought ah what the hell ill get that game and see if I can work around the issues myself... It was gone.

My Link from my wishlist had no price tag anymore and clicking to go to the store page lead me to the homepage, it wasnt even searchable. So I took to google and the Publisher was gone too, With a german message mentioning something about them being Sued into oblivion or something. So In the end I went to one of the Typical sites and downloaded me a copy.

I Didnt feel guilty in anyways since well I couldnt buy it anywhere any more, also there was no fix that I found from The Games Company that sorted the Issues with ATi Cards.

How about you guys / gals?

Never felt guilt for playing a ROM since I don't go past the Sega Genesis and SNES for consoles, GBA for handhelds.

Not unless I really liked it and left it sitting on my HDD for a few months instead of buying it.

Yes, there are times when I don't exactly feel guilt. Mostly with games that are a bajillion years old and no one honestly gives a fuck anymore. If it's on GOG.com, though, I'll get it legally. That's what GOG is for, after all.

    Angry No.

If I'm downloading a game, no guilt because I'm doing it for one of the following reasons:
1: No longer in production/ can't buy it anywhere.
2: Can't afford it at the current price so they wouldn't get my non existent money in any case.
3: Try before buy or not buy (definately justified, refunds aren't always smooth with games, you gotta fight for it and I'm a pacifist)

Yeah, to anyone who has time to be guilty about downloading, congratulations, your life is perhaps easier than mine, I have more important things to worry about. (Condescending I know but that's my 2 pence.)

I only download games if they are for a console. I don't feel bad 'cause the piracy rate is lower, and I'm a minority.

However, on a PC, I never pirate games...unless I hate the developer, or it's out of production.

Nope, there are some pretty shit games out there....
No matter how good a review is, that person my like the game, but you might not...

Also, pricing... 100 bucks for a new game, and yet, you see the price wars go on the week after release and its down to 60bucks some times. Come on....
Id be more inclined to buy a game, if it was cheaper, i know there is a mark up, bu really, if you can sell it safely for 60bucks, and RRP is 100, then WTF.
