Free and no it doesn't require broadband. It's a normal e-mail account, but with 1Gb (1000Mb) of storage space for your e-mails.

1 Gig hardly warrents the trouble required to get it working. I mean, sure, you can use it for pictures and maybe a couple movies, but in today's day and age, 1 gig is pretty small. Maybe 1 game or an ISO max.

Well, you could upload quite a few music albums/songs, even better if you have more than one account. You could fit a 700mb movie on your account.
