I think the subscription is an optional thing for "premium" benefits, you don't need it to play with friends. Also afaik it's consoles only, which yeah kinda sucks as you're paying a sub to play online anyway.

C&C Remaster is coming along nicely. I was hopeful for 3D but this is fine enough if they add convenience features and improve the controls to at least Tiberian Sun levels if not Tib. Wars.

Yeah tell me about it. I was looking at an Xbone X heavily discounted with games but nope, still not buying. I really should get a 4k tv but also nope, I can get a lot of other stuff I want for that money.

Got a PS3 SS 12GB from work, bit grubby but cleaned up ok and works fine. No controller with it but I have spares, got a 500GB HDD to throw in but need to order a caddy for it.

I've considered a new display but I don't have a need for it at the moment. OLEDs are all bigger than what I'd want and too costly for the amount of use one would see. I'm curious to see how mini-LED monitors will fare when they're available but other than that I've got little interest .
